Charging times range from 2-5 hours depending on battery capacity and charger type. Fast-charging models reach full charge in 2-3 hours. Some vacuums offer quick-charge features that provide partial runtime in 30-60 minutes.

Most cordless vacuums cannot be used while charging - doing so can damage the battery. Some higher-end models support pass-through charging. Check your specific model's manual before attempting to use it while plugged in.

When the battery is depleted, suction stops immediately. Most vacuums have LED indicators showing remaining charge. Lithium-ion batteries can be recharged immediately without damage. After 2-3 years, you may need to replace the battery pack.
